Collections
Patterns grown from observation, curiosity and the natural world.
Each collection begins with something that catches my eye. It could be in the garden, or while I’m out walking my dogs, or something I’ve gathered and brought home whilst out visiting friends. From there, curiosity takes over through photography, painting, scanning and experimentation.
The Seventy-Eight Collection
An evolving collection of patterns born from observation, experimentation and curiosity
Seventy eight patterns.
One period of discovery.
What began as a way of learning surface pattern design became a collection of seventy eight experiments in observation, materials and making.
Some began with photographs, others with paint, pressed petals, leaves, found objects or marks made by hand.
Together, they document a period of following curiosity and seeing where it led.
